2017 'LDR VINEYARD' SHIRAZ TOURIGA

Planted on the heavy clay soils 13.5 acres of Shiraz and 1.5 acres of Touriga Nocional of our family Lovedale Road vineyard in 2008. This unique blend of 80% Shiraz gives this wine floral fruit characters with savoury Hunter regional structure and 20% Touriga Nacional which adds structure to the aroma. Medium red with a vibrant purple hue in appearance. Lifted cherry spice and potpourri, earthy, spicy with a hint of boysenberry, plum and blackcurrants. Soft mouth feel of fine grained tannis, ripe plums and blackberries. Fantastic early drinking wine, but +5 years in the cellar and this will start to sing!
